The maps illustrate the comparisons of developments that have occurred in Pentland between 1980 and 2007.Overall, The state of Pentland in 1980 was less developed yet in 2007 , many changes have taken place.

As seen fro the maps, Pentland was less occupied in 1980. It has the sea on the northern part,car parch on the eastern side,grassland on the southern and an industrial area on the western region.All were linked together by the roads.

On the other hand,Pentland experienced growth and by 2007, many infrastructures have been developed.On the upper part where the sea existed ,it was changed to yacht marina.Apparentments and several shops were established on the eastern side.In the lower part , a cinema and houses were constructed. The North west section was occupied by recreational actilivies which included a swimming pool and a park where most people can visit during their leisure time .On top of that , it has a multi-stores car park where visitors can park their vehicles as the visit the sites.
