The maps illustrate the changes that occurred in the village along High, London, and School streets between 1910 and 2010.
Overall, in 1910, the village was a much greener area with numerous trees. However, over the next century, the rural area underwent significant transformations.
The most noticeable change is that the house on School Street was replaced by a bank by 2010, while several houses were constructed along London Street during this period. Additionally, the butcher shop on School Street was converted into a supermarket, which included parking, over the course of the century. Only the school and post office remained unchanged along both streets.
The second most significant change involved the removal of trees to make way for residential areas, resulting in a path between the houses that leads to London Street. Further developments included the construction of new individual houses below High Street. Furthermore, the grocery and bakery stores were demolished to pave the way for a new café and additional housing above High Street.
