The maps illustrates how the Australian Zoo has been changed from 1960 to the present day.
Overall, the zoo has undergone significant alterations, notably the introduction of new facilities such as entrances and cable cars, along with the relocation of some areas such as the harbour and African animals, and the complete elimination of Chimpanzees and birds.
Regarding the northern section, the habour in the eastern side has now been relocated to the west, while there has been a new entrance and a ferry in the east. Concerning the southern area, the gift shop in the middle has now been rebuilt to become more modern than it was in 1960. Meanwhile, a new entrance in the southwest has been added.
Turning to the middle section, whilst the picnic area in the east has stayed unchanged, the seal show and chimpanzees have now been removed to make way for new cable cars at the same side. Moreover, while the birds have been eliminated, the seal show has been moved to another place where it has been next to the African animals. Additionally, the wild animals has replaced with the African animals in the west; in contrast, the Australian animals have experienced no change.
