The layouts illustrate how the area in Westerling changed over the decade from 2000 to 2010.
Overall, it is clear that the Westerling area changed noticeably and had more leisure facilities added.
Looking at the west side of the map, there was open space with factories in 2000; by 2010, they had been replaced by a block of flats and a multi-story car park. It is noticeable that, after their addition, shops became smaller.
On the east side, even more significant changes took place. The woodland and detached houses were demolished to construct golf club and a hotel, whereas the woodland was moved to the center of the map and diminished in size. In terms of the bottom right corner, the car park was removed, the techno park to be constructed. Moreover, the bus station was turned into a hotel, while the street, which was located to the south of the map also changed to a bus and railway station.
