The given maps illustrate how the ground floor of a museum has changed between 1950 and today.
Overall, some areas present in the past map, as the courtyard, were completely removed in order to build three new different artistic sections. Some public services as the café had been united to the toilet, that has been added only recently. Others areas has been remained unchanged during the years.
Specifically, the ancient outdoor area has been replaced with the Children Art school, the Australian Aboriginal Art and the Australian Art sections. The toilet and the café, as they share the same aim to provide services to the visitors, were combined in the same place. The only section that has been totally deleted and results absent nowadays is the Asian Art section, while remain present and stable over the years the Early European Art, the Middle European Art and the Sculpture section. Furthermore, the Temporary Exhibition, the bookshop and the entrance hasn’t been relocated since 1950.
