The illustration demonstrates some important modifications that have taken place in the art gallery since 1950.
A notable feature highlighted in the pictures is the transformation of the courtyard, which has been divided into three distinct areas. Additional art spaces have been constructed, and the café now has its own restroom.
In 1950, the back of the gallery was adjacent to the courtyard, which has since been reconstructed to accommodate other exhibitions. These include children’s art on the left side, Australian art displayed on the right, and Aboriginal art occupying the center. Aside from these changes, the café remains in the same location it did in 1950 but has been reduced in size to make room for a restroom. The bookshop and temporary exhibition areas have remained unchanged, and the nearby sculpture has also not undergone any alterations.
To the east of the entrance, the section that previously housed Australian artworks has been replaced by Asian art, while the Early European section located beyond the Middle one has shown no changes, just like the latter.
