The bar chart gives information about means of getting to school that are common for schoolchildren in three various countries, namely Australia, the USA, and the UK.
It is noticeable from the chart that in Australia most of the students go to school by school bus, while in the USA and the UK, cars are the common way of getting to school.
In Australia, 8% of schoolchildren ride a bike in order to go to school, whereas public transport usage among them is slightly higher,representing11%.However,walking and coming in car are preferred by the larger number of students ,accounting for 19% and 25%, respectively. It is interesting to note that, when students who use school bus are 31%, 6% of them get to school with other ways.
For the USA and the UK, they bore certain parallels in the proportion of students who use other means of transport, or 4% of all countries children who attend school. Surprisingly, the percentage of bicycle use by students also nearly the similar,5% and 6%. Like bicycle usage, the figures for students who use car to go to school in these two countries differ by 1%. Unlike other sectors, the percentage of schoolchildren walk to school is relatively lower in the USA in comparison to the UK standing at 5% and 15% in order.
