The pie and bar chart provide information about the comparison between males and females arrested in five years ending 1994 along with the various reasons of the arrest and is measured by the percentage. It is evident that the majority of people, including men and women, were not involved in any criminal cases over the five years period in ending 1994. To begin, the proportion of males who were not in the prison was 68%, which was over double than that of arrested (32%). Similarly, the number of women who were free was significantly higher than those involved in any criminal issues, at 91% and 9% respectively.
Turning to the arrest reasons, the number of public drinking reason for females was over 35%, compared to approximately 32% in men. However, drink driving reason for men was over a quarter, far higher than women, which accounted for 13%. Following this, the proportion of order breach and theft was relatively similar for men, accounting for approximately one fifth, slightly higher than females at below 15%. The relatively small percentage of men and women, just under 10%, gave no answer for the reason.
