The map shows the main changes to the layout of the museum over the decade from 1998 to 2008.
Overall, the museum underwent significant changes over the decade. While the cafe area remained largely the same, the temporary exhibition room was relocated, the garden area was reduced in size, permanent exhibition rooms were relocated to the western side of the museum, and several facilities were added, including a restaurant, cafe sitting area and fountains.
In 1998, the temporary exhibition room was located in the south-east corner of the museum’s layout. The shop and a cloak room were located near the entrance. The garden was in the centre of the museum, surrounded by permanent exhibition rooms. The cafe was situated above the northern part of the garden.
The WC room was located near the western permanent exhibition room.
By 2008, the shop and bags and coats had been moved to the south-east corner of the museum. Above these two areas the temporary exhibition room was moved. Compared to 1998, the museum now had a restaurant and a cafe sitting area. Moreover, the garden now features two fountains. Next to the cafe a WC room was built.
