The maps illustrate the layout of the museum between 1998 and after some alterations were made in 2008.
Overall, most of the facilities inside the museum were relocated and expanded at the expense of a small portion of the permanent exhibition rooms. Besides, two new areas were added to provide eateries, while the garden remained at the same location but was decorated with fountains for its appeal.
Upon entering the museum, one will be at the entrance/exit as well as a ticket shop which remained untouched. Going beyond this, what used to be a plain garden was paired with multiple fountains for decoration purposes, additionally, a cafe sitting area on its top left corner was built. Similar to the above mentioned facilities, the cafe’s location was also unchanged. However, its size was shrunken to make way for the toilet which was adjacent to the coffee shop.
On the left-hand side of the entrance, there used to be a temporary exhibition room, but it was moved northwards leaving space for the relocation of the shop and bags and coats section. Additionally, above it, a restaurant was added in 2008 and made a permanent exhibition room be transfer to the bottom right corner of the museum but in a smaller size, which made the right part of the museum consists of all three permanent exhibition rooms.
