The two blueprints above demostrate the layout of a bookstore in 2000 and at present. Overall, it is clear that the bookstore underwent significant changes over the given period, with some of the features being fully replaced or relocated, while others remained the same or were enhanced only slightly.
To begin with, there were some features that remained unchanged or were insignificantly altered throughout the period. In detail, Travel, New books, and Service desk—which went along the southern part of the bookstore in 2000—remained unchanged at present.
By contrast, the remaining recreational areas experienced more pronounced changes. For instance, there were three features —Art, Hobbies, and Cookery —that were relocated to the area where used to be Ficiton in 2000. Consequently, area devoted to Ficiton was diminished and three new tables were introduced in the heart of the bookstore. Furthermore, Fiction that occupied the far north and east regions in 2000 became Non-fiction at present, while Non-Fiction turned into Cafe.
