The diagram illustrates the process of making wool from raw materials like sheep’s flur through a series of steps with the help of both humans and machinery.
Overall, the process consists of multiple stages, beginning with collecting sheep and ending with using wool in knitting or making woolen products.
In the first stage raw material is collected, in which the sheep are raised until they are matured enough to produce a thick layer of fur. Once the sheep are sheared, the fleece are then cleaned with water to get rid of contaminants before undergoing a drying phase by a drying machine, where generated strings are recycled to maximize productivity.
In the next stage, the dried fleece is carded, which results in tufts of wool, which are ready to be sent to a warehouse for storage. Following this, woolen tufts are spun into balls of yarn. In the last stage, these yarn balls are sold for either individual purposes, like knitting, or the commercial use of producing jackets or carpets.
