Overall, the majority of the countries has increased in the usage of renewable energy. The biggest increase is in the United States, in 1971 the United States was the second lowest country using sustainable reasources, but it skyrocketed up to second place in 2011.
The only country that has decreased in the usage of renewable energy is Finland, it dropped from around 24 down to 23 but still remained top 1 throughout the years. Finland, Denmark and the United States has been very unstable with random drops and peaks.On the other hand, France, Germany and the United Kingdom all have relatively smooth constant increase, with very subtle descreases. In year 1986, it seemed that all of the countries had decreased in using sustainable energy.
