The two maps depict the changes that occurred in Shipsmouth, Massachusetts, between 1995 and 2010.
Overall, Shipsmouth has seen a significant transformation by 2010, keeping the fewest of its amenities but growing increasingly varied, contemporary, and leisurely. Along with the demolition of some existing locations, these changes included the addition of new facilities including skyscrapers, a retail center, a football stadium, an airport, and a bar.
Shipsmouth had a city center in 1995, with a railroad station to the south of it and a road running through the center from west to east. The north-west and south-east corners each have two forested patches. There was a manufacturing facility and a sea on the left side of the city center. Two residences and a church can be seen on the right side of the city center.
By 2010, significant changes had taken place in Shipsmouth. In addition to extending the railway line northward, the central road had been become pedestrian-only. Two woodland areas have been replaced with new residential buildings and the airport. Similarly, in the regions that were occupied by the factory, the church, and the residences, respectively, there was now a shopping center, a tavern, skyscrapers, and a football field.
