In 2010, UK citizens spend even less, than half was 14,000, while earning 29,000. Meat spent 29% on meat and fish and 26% on fruit and vegetables. Least spent was on dairy products at 12%. In 2010, interestingly, 12% was spent on other food and 15% on clothing.
However, the trend had changed entirely in 2013. Eating/drink had been replaced by non-restaurants. Earnings decreased & 25,000, while expenses increased by 5,000. Surprisingly, fruits and vegetables were being covered by 30% portion. Meat and fish were eaten by fewer people at 23%. On the other hand, there was rise in dairy products while other food stayed the same at 18%. Although, clothes saw a decline to 13%.
In conclusion, variations were seen over time. Therefore, a rise was seen in fruit, vegetables, and dairy products, while a decline was seen in meat, fish, and clothes; meanwhile, other food saw no change and stayed the same.
