The pie charts compare the harmful waste disposal methods used in three different countries.
Overall, it is clear that all three nations adopted recycling, underground dumping, and incineration as the common methods, whereas the UK also uses sea dumping and chemical treatments at lower proportions. However, recycling is highly opted in the Republic of Korea, while dumping the waste underground showed higher percentages in Sweden and the UK. Moreover, Incineration has the lowest percentage in all three countries.
Among the three countries, recycling has been highly used in the Republic of Korea, presenting 62%, which is a little less than three-fourths of a pie, whereas only 25% of the waste in Sweden is recycled, and the UK has none recycled. However, 55% (more than two-fourths) of the waste materials in Sweden is dumped underground, and only 22% in the Republic of Korea is buried underground.
It is clear that more than three-fourths of the waste in the UK, which is 82% is dumped below the ground. Other minor methods, such as chemical treatment and dumping in the sea, gave 8% each. Burning the waste is the least chosen method in all places, giving 20% in Sweden, 9% in the Republic of Korea, and 2% in the UK.
