Looking at the information in more detail, in 2019, the majority of British citizens relied on television as their main source of news, accounting for 43% of the total. In comparison, only 15% of people prefer to watch news on the internet. Moreover, an equal proportion of people show no interest in these platforms at all. In contrast, British people used social media to get international news, which accounted for 14%.
In terms of other specifics, printed newspapers were unpopular during that period as they were below 10%. Interestingly, newspapers represent only 8% of the total, followed by Raidio with just half (4%) of printed newspapers. Furthermore, people also believe that word-of-mouth, a medium for news content.
