The pie charts illustrates the proportion of volunteers by different organizations in 2008 and 2014. Overall, the share of volunteers for art, educational and other organizations witnessed a significant decline, while the reverse was true for environmental, sport and health care corporations.
The proportion of volunteers from three organizations – art, education, and others- decreased over the period. Starting at 18% in 2008, the proportion of volunteers from art decreased noticeably to 12%, while similar pattern was observed at educational and others. Volunteering from educational organisation accounted for 24%, which was followed by a marked drop to 17%. Moreover, the share of others represented 15% and then dropped to 9% in 2014.
However, the other three sections, environment, sport and health care, saw a rise. The proportion of volunteers from environmental organisation witnessed a significant increse from 21% to 29%. The percentage of volunteers from sports amounted to 15%, before rising further to 25% in 2014. Volunteers from the health care accounted for 7%, after which it improved slightly to 8%.
