The pie graph illustrates the number of consumptions of bottled water in different areas as a data of global consumption in 1999, while the bar chart provides the change of it after 2 years, in 2001.
Overall, the U.S.A accounted for the largest share in the total of global bottled water consumption in contrast to the data of western Europe and Australia whose data were a minority in the pie chart in 1999. Meanwhile, in 2001, Asia grew the most ;however, the proportion of western Europe showed a slight increase in this year.
In terms of the global consumption of bottled water, it was used the most in the USA which its data contributed approximately half of the total global consumption of that product. This figure was followed by the percentages of others areas which were 15% and 13% of Asia and middle east respectively. 10% was the data of the use of bottled water in africa which was 2 times higher than the figure of Latin America and New Zealand, was 5%. Moreover, there was a similarity in the data of western europe in australia which occupied the smallest share of the pie chart with just 2% in 1999.
Shifting attention to the growth of the product, it was observed that the percentage of Asia reported a biggest increase compared to the remains, which climbed 14%, followed by the data of latin america and new zealand which rose over 11%. Interestingly, the growth in consumption of bottled water of africa displayed an upward trend, increase over 10% – as same as – that of middle east in 2001.The USA and Australia increased more moderately, at just over 7%, whereas Western Europe showed the least growth, at under 3%.
