The pie charts depict the change in different types of energy production in France in two years.
Overall, the charts illustrate a consistently skewed distribution of energy production, with coal, gas and petrol dominating other categories. Notably, petrol followed a downward trend, except for a growth in the remaining energy.
In 1995, coal, petrol and gas showed a negligible difference. To specify, coal remained the highest, increasing from 29.80% in 1995 to 30.93% in 2015. Gas followed a similar trend, rising from 29.63% to 30.31%. Conversely, petrol lost ground, falling from 29.27% to 19.55%, a significant dip allowing it to maintain the third position on the entire charts.
In 1995, the total shares of other and nuclear production accounted for approximately one-third in coal, petrol and gas, 4.90% and 6.4% respectively. In 2015, the former climbed to 9.1%, mirroring the trend for the latter, rising to 10.10%. Despite an increase, both other and nuclear remained the lowest amount of production.
