The pie charts illustrate energy production by fuel source in the UK between 2014 to 2018. In general, the noticeable feature that remain the largest fuel source in both years was Gas.
In 2012, the largest change in fuel type was projected to be Renewables which increased from 15.0% to just over one quarter by 2018. On the other hand, the fuel type that had experienced a substantial drop was coal , which supplied for 28.4% in 2012, whereas the projection of the year 2018 was anticipated to account for 18.1%.
The other three sources was estimated to have a minor changes . The proportion of Nuclear was expected to have a slight decline that fall from just over one fifth to a mere 21.6%. Lastly, the remaining sources that hadn’t changed in both years is the proportion of Gas and “Oil and Other”. These sources remained 30.1% and 4.9% respectively in the end of the timeframe. Thus Gas was still a largest feature in both years .
