Looking at production, South America accounts for the largest proportion at 44%. Africa follows with 19%, while Asia and Central America contribute similar shares of 18% and 17% respectively. Oceania produces only a negligible amount, representing just 2% of global coffee production.
Regarding consumption, Europe dominates with 55%, making it the biggest consumer of coffee. North America is the second largest market at 27%, followed by Japan at 11%. South America consumes a relatively small proportion, at only 7%.
In terms of profit distribution, sellers receive the highest percentage at 55%. Shippers take 27%, while producers earn just 11%. Explorers receive the smallest share, accounting for only 7% of total profit.
