The pie chart illustrates the main reason why students chose to study at a specific university in the UK between 1987 and 2007.

Overall,while the percentage of students who chose suitable degree courses outnumbered others majors,the proportion of good sports and social activities was the lowest in 2007.Additionally,students who want to be close to their parents in 2007 are two times higher than in the past 20 years.

In both 1987 and 2007,the ratio of students selected due to suitable degree courses was the highest at 35 and 37 percent respectively.Regarding the reason of being close to their parents,in the year 2007,it was two times higher than the year 1987,reaching at 22 percent

Similar in choosing quality of resources in both years,the figure in 1987 accounted for 21 percent and in 2007,it was almost the same.While the percentage good sports and social activities in 1987 was the third highest compared to the others,by 2007,it only took up 6 percent and was the lowest rate among all reasons.The reason for quality of teaching in 1987 was nearly two times higher than in the year 2007,at 15 percent.
