The pie chart provides insights into the proportion of people in two countries in 2002 and in 2050.
Overall, middle-aged people held and will hold a significant slice of the population in both countries. While the percentage of 0-14 aged individuals is a little lower in Italy, Yemen lacked seniors, and it is expected to stay the same in the future.
Turning to the details, in 2000 more than half of the Yemen citizens were in the 0-14 years old, which was almost equal to 46.3% of adults. Surprisingly, the remaining 3.6 percentage points were attributed to older 60+ aged people. The same picture cannot be observed from about Italy. At the beginning of the century, 61.6% of the dwellers were from 15 to 59, while its seniors came as a second dominant with 24.1%. People around 0-14 shockingly contributed only 14.3 percentage points to the overall population.
Regarding the future predictions, in Yemen, middle-aged people will take precedence from youngsters in 2050 with 57.3%. While the percentage of the 0-14 age range will be reduced by 13.1, the percentage of seniors will stay unchanged. In Italy it is expected that people over 60 and adults will have competitive proportions of 42.3 and 46.2% respectively, keeping the other 11.5 percent for youths.
