Overall, consumption from Canada showed the smaleest proportion of total imported fish. The rates for China and others followed fluctuating trends.
Importing from Canada underwent a significant decline. In 1988, 60 percent of fish need were sent to USA from Canada, then this amount went down to 34 percent, in 1992. Consequnetly, rate of consumption reached its minimum at 28 percent, in 2000.
Other countries showed fluctuation; in 1998, the amount of imported fish was 27 percent, and it reached a peak in 1992 with 46 percent, before experienced the minimum amount with 42 percent.
Fish importance from China increased gradually: it occupied 13 percent of total fish consumption in begining of the given period, then increase in 7 percent. At the end of given period, figure showed 30 percent.
