At a glance, we can see that half of the expenses of an English student are related to Rent, with a median value of about £385. However, house expenditure also consists of Bills. Overall, more than half of student expenses are about house and accomodation, with more than £400 in total. In addition, food and socialising cover more than 20% of total expenses. In particular, a student needs £188 for these activities every month to hang out and socializing.
The vast majority of students, about 80%, have used student loans as a source of income. Generally, more than half of the students are helped by their families or start work. Finally, less than 40% of students use fundings that come from bank accounts or savings.
