Overall these two pie charts illustrate a comparaison between 1980 and 2008 of the proportion of people working in an engineering company in function of their different degrees. What stands out as the main similarity between 1980 and 2008, the proportion of graduated in Masters Science remains identical, namely 29%.
We can still recognize an evolution of the percentages between these two years. First, the graduated in Phd Science represents now a significant part, moving from 13% to 30%. In contrast, the proportion of first degree Arts graduates wich represented one fourth of the pie chart in 1998, has fallen to 11%. In addition the part of First degree in Science remarkably drop by 9%.
However, some categories are only exposed to small changes. PhD arts graduated percentage rose by 5% and concerning Masters Arts it remained stable only fluctuating by 1%.
In conclusion, the evolution between 1980 and 2008 can be considered through the significant changes in proportion of Phd science, First degree Arts and First degree in Science. On the other categories such as Masters Science and Masters Arts act like proof of similirities in the employement in the engineering sector.
