The pie chart illustrates the proportion of persons who are arrested between 1989 and 1994, while the bar chart provides data on the main reasons why people are arrested.
Overall, there was a big disparity between the sexes that males have been arrested more often for the five years ending in 1994. Additionally, public drinking shows the highest percentage of reason for arrest and the significant second rate is drink driving.
Turning to the pie chart, it can be seen that the data for males shows 32% for arrest while the percentage of females was just 9% in 1994. In addition, the data for men who are not arrested indicates 68%, lower than 20% for women.
Moving to the bar chart, regarding to public drinking which had the highest percentage compared to other arrests accounted for more 30% and 35% both of males and females, respectively. The second place was drink driving, at about 26% for males and 14% for females. Furthermore, other reasons such as breach of other, assault, theft and unspecific reason were less than 20% for men and women. However, the proportion of no answer was noticeably lower, which stood at less than 10%.
