The pie chart show women in poverty in the United States of single women with no dependent children,married women with no dependent children, married women with dependent children and single women with dependent children, while the bar chart shows the pverty rates by sex and age of both men and women in the year 2008. As an overall, we can see that in the pie chart the highest percentage was for the women who were single with no dependent children, whereas in the bar chart we see that the highest rate of poverty was for women between ages 18 to 24.
The pie chart shows the highest percentage for poverty was for single women with no dependent children at 54%, and the second highest was single women with dependent children at 26%, and then married women with dependent children at 12% and the lowest rate of poverty was for married women with no dependent children at 8%.
On the other hand, the bar chart highest rate of poverty was for women between ages 18-24 at 20% and then men and women of ages 5-17 at approxamitely 15%, and then men and women of ages 25-44 at almost 10% and then women and men of ages 45-74 at nearly 10%.
