The table shows the total amount of cost for shipping fish to the US, and the three charts illustrate from where (China, Canada, and other countries) fish were being imported in the years between 1988 and 2000. Total cost are measured in billions of dollars , and the sources are represented in percentages.
Overall, the US spent most of its money importing fish in the year 2000 and the least in 1988. Again, in 1988, other countries, rather than China and Canada, were the most favorable source for buying goods(fish), but they became the least beneficial in 2000.
In terms of the origin of fish, a gradual increase is seen for the country China over the years, in contrast to other countries. Whereas for Canada, there is a noticeable rhythm throughout the mentioned years. Though it rises about 19% from 1988 to 1992, it falls 4% in the span 2000.
Lastly, in terms of cost, as the US spent most in 2000, i.e., $10.72 billion, and most fish came from China in the same year, it can be said that China has the most contribution to this huge expenditure. From the table, it can easily be illustrated that the expenditure rises around 2 billion dollars over the years mentioned.
