The pie charts provide information about the share of sources of energy in gigawatts. The first of them shows statistic for 2015, another one views prediction for 2040.
In general it can be seen that the volume of capacity will increase into approximately two times from 6.688 gw to 11.678 gw. It’s expected to the proportion of different sources of energy will change as well. For instance, the most noticeable feature is the significant drop of the share of fossil fuel by 20%. Despite declining in importance, fossil fuel will remain the main type of energy production in 2040. Other renewable sources of energy will remain roughly the same slightly more than 20%. However, the proportion of solar energy will rapidly increase from 2% to 18%. According to chart, the wind energy will account for a bigger proportion with an increase from 5% to 12% in 2040. It is estimated, that nuclear energy will stay the insignificant source of energy capacity with 5% in 2040.
In conclusion, despite changing proportions of diffrent sources of eneregy sources, it is predicted that the absolute volume of energy wich is prodused using fossil fuel will remain dominated
