The three pie charts illustrate the way in which the water is used for residential, industry, and agricultural purposes in San Diego Country, California, and the world as a whole.
The pie charts clearly show that San Diego County and California State residential water consumption account for 60% and 39% of total water usage. However, the world used only 8% of the water for the same purposes.
On the other hand, the pie charts show that almost three-quarters of the world’s water consumption was in agriculture at 69%, while in San Diego and California, the water was used for the same purposes at 17% and 28% respectively. In a different way, the amount of water used in San Diego Country was exactly the same as in the world water use (23%) while the figure for California is higher 10% higher, at 33%.
Overall, the pie charts highlight that more water is consumed by homes than by industry or agriculture in two American regions. By contrast, agriculture had by far the highest amount of water used worldwide.
