Overall, the population has increased across all parts of the globe since 1900, making the current population stand at 6 billion.
In 1900, Asia had the largest share in global population with 60%, followed by a 25% share of Europe. In addition to 12% combingly of Latin America, Africa and North America. However, by the year 2000 this demographic changed resulting in loss of population to countries such as Asia, which dropped to 54%, besides population of Europe(including Russia) dipped to 14% almost half of their previous figures.
Conversly, regions like Latin America which is now considered as Latin America & Caribbean have witnessed a surge in their figures making it stand at 8% followed by a 6% share of Africa. However, figures of North America remains the same throughout the year with a mere 5% share accompanied by rest with a static percentage share of 3%.
