The charts show the percentage of people in three age groups in Oman and Spain in 2005 and predictions for 2055.
Overall, people aged 60 and over are the most in both countries. In Oman, this group is expected to go up a lot in 2055, but in Spain, it is expected to drop by a lot.
In 2005, Oman had only 4% for the 15-59 group, which is much smaller than the other two groups, which were both around 48%. Predictions for 2055 say that the oldest group will grow to 57%, while the youngest will go down to 37%. The middle group might increase a bit to 6%. This shows that Oman will have more old people.
In Spain, things were different. In 2005, 62% were 60 and older, 24% were 15-59, and 14% were 0-14 years old. For 2055, it is guessed that the oldest group will drop to 46%, while the 15-59 group will nearly double to 42%. The youngest group will drop slightly to 12%. This shows Spain might get younger in the future.
