There is no link between percentage of continents occupied land area and the percentage of population live there. However, it is clear that Aisa, the biggest continent, is home to a significant proportion of world’s population while Antarictica has almost no resident.
Asia is by far the most populated continent with 61 percent of world population and its share from land area is 30 percent. Africa and Europe with 13 and 12 percent of the world population occupied a fifth and 7 percent of world land area, recpectivly.
North and South America with 8 and 5.5 percent of the world population occupied 16 and 12 percent of world land area, recpectivly. Oceania with 6 percent share of world land area whish is near to Europe is home to half a percent of world population. Antarictica with no population is almost big as South America with 9 percent of world lands.
