The pie charts show the gadgets people from 18 to 25 years old go to to watch television from 2007 to 2017. Overall, the most noticeable trend is the increasing popularity of mobile phone and the downfall of conventional TV.
Most stationary devices saw a decrease in usage from the year 2007 to 2017. Desktop computer witnessed a slight drop from 18% to 12%. In 2007, over a third of young people chose conventional TV, whereas in 2017, the figure plummeted to only 4%. Contrary to the fall in usage of desktop computer and conventional TV, flat-screen TV became more popular with a remarkable rise going from 8% to 27% in 2007 and 2017 respectively.
Portable gadgets became more popular as a way to watch television. Over the period of ten years, mobile phone climbed in usage, with 26% opting for it, 11% more than in 2007. Table rocketed going from 5% to 19%. However, the use of laptops fell, as it is only used by 12% of young people, in contrast to the 20% in 2007.
