This pie chart illustrates the energy sources consumed by Germany and France for electricity generation in the period of 2010.
Overall, it is seen that both two countries used coal, natural gas and nuclear the most to generate electricity.
As for Germany, coal was the biggest source of power generation with 45% of total distribution of energy sources whereas France used coal as their second biggest source of electricity which took up 20% . Next, nuclear was used the most for the purpose of power generation in France with almost 50% of total distribution, which was estimated at 20% in Germany. Third biggest source of electricity was natural gas in two countries with 25% and 15% respectively. Apart from these sources, other sources such as renewable and other was accounted for around 20% in total in respective countries.
