Overall, home owner were the popular typing housing , with more than half the total over the period shown. While the opposite, the figures for social housing was the lowest in both two years.
It can be clearly that in 1991, the number of people lived in their house as owners, which was 55%, but after 16 years , the percentage was increased to 70% people. This shows that people prefer to own their house more than rent. In contrast, the least proportion of invidiuals lived in the social house in 1991 and 2007, which were 6% and 2% respectively.
On the other hand, at around 20% of Britain possessed a social renting in the year 1991. However, the figure then experienced a substantial decline to roughly 15% people in 2007. Besides, the rate for private renting remained stable at 11% during the period.
