The pie chart illustrates the data about the proportion of pupils enrolling in different courses at an adult education centre from 1985 to the present year.
From an overall look, it is manifested that student choices towards specific classes have been varied. Also, while all fields have experienced a considerable growth rate, local history, together with music appreciation is the only one to be neglected.
Delving into further detail, it is evident that learning modern languages took up the largest amount of the courses, with exactly 24% initially. This was followed by the figure for fitness and dance, at 22%, alongside art constituting 17%. In addition, there was up to less than a fifth and 14% spent on local history and cookery, in the given order. The least participants belonged to music appreciation, with just only 8%.
Compared to the present, a new discipline, or IT is getting much attention, ranking first among the given courses with an impressive amount of 27%. Conversely, modern languages, in turn, have now seen a gradual decrease, presenting 17%. Meanwhile, the participation in fitness and dance remains consistent. Art, on another hand, has slightly dropped to 15%. Notably, music appreciation, along with history is no longer part of the activity.
