The pie charts compare the amount of electricity produced from 5 different sources in Australia and France between 1980 and 2000.
It is clear that the highest unit of electricity production in Australia was based on Coal in the given years. While, France experienced a rapid growth in the production of electricity units using nuclear power in the following 20 years.
In 1980, almost half of the electricity units was produced from Coal in Australia. This figure saw a significant increase in 20-years period, and reached to 130 units of total 170 units. In addition, hydro power the second production source which rose to 36 units. Whereas, rest of the sources, oil and natural gas, experienced a slight fell.
France used coal and natural gas to produce half of their electricity units, at 50 units combined of 90 units and 25 per each, in the year 1980. However, this figure same for coal in, at 25 units, whereas use of natural gas saw a significant decrease, from 25 units to only 2 units. On the other hand, production of electricity from nuclear power rose, to 126 units from only 15 units, at the following years.
