Overall, Facebook was the most favourite social media platforms. Additionally, except from it, the remaining channels experience an increase in their popularity.
Looking at the chart in more detail, in 2011, facebook took up the largest part of the popularity with 59%. However, this figure decreased significantly to 38% after two years. Despite a remarkable fall, facebook still preserve its stance as the most favoured channel. The percentage of twitter prevalence, meanwhile, experienced a contrasting trend which rose slightly from 21% in the first year to 25% in 2013.
Regarding the remaining channels, with the share of 10%, linkedln ranked third in the popularity. In the next two years, this figure rose gradually and reached 15% in 2013. Finally, a similar percentage of popularity was witnessed in google and pinterest in 2011, at 5%. While the latter increased slightly to 8%, the former rose threefold, reaching 14% in the end of the period.
