Overall, the North America occupied the most of the percentage of world forest as well as percent of timber, The least amount covered by Asia in world forest and Africa in timber.
The North America and Africa cover half of the proportion of the world’s forest by 25% and 27%, whereas, the region South America and Europe are occupied lesser than 20% percentage in forest all around the world; in contrast, the least range covered by Asia was 14% respectively.
On the other hand, the percentage of timber is highly occupied by the North America by 30% and the South America by 23% in turn; comparatively, the other regions has the lowest proportion of the timber(Europe, Asia and Africa); while, Europe by 20% of timber and Asia by 18% and the county Africa has only 9% respectively.
