The pie charts provide information about the proportion of various physical exercises that are taken part in by males along with females.
Overall, the highest percentage is observed in computer games among boys, while dancing is the most popular among girls. However, males are not interested in reading, and girls are not into listening to music. Notably, similar figures are registered in listening to music for both genders.
Looking first at boys’ activities, computer games represent the largest share, accounting for 34% of participation. Basketball is the second most popular sport activity, which comprises 26%, followed by soccer, which made up 17%. Participation in skateboarding as well as listening to music shows almost similar figures at 11% and 10%, respectively. In addition, reading is by far the least popular sport activity that most boys spend their time on, at only 2%.
By contrast, dancing is the dominant activity among girls, comprising 27% of the total. Compared with males, most of the females are into reading, which is recorded at 21% and considered the second. Meanwhile, computer games and netball represent about 16% and 15% correspondingly. Gymnastics is less common in terms of girls, showing 11%, whereas listening to music is the least preferred activity at 10%.
