The provided pie chart delineates the percentage of industrial water use in three distinctive countries ( USA, Mexico and Canada) taking into account the 7 major expenditures: Agriculture, Households, Electricity and gas etc..
From an overall perspective, it is obvious that the Agriculture is the largest water demand in the USA, whereas percentage in Mexico and Canada charts shows Electricity and gas as the highest segment. Furthermore, the lowest consumption in the USA is in the Mining, while in Mexico and Canada the smallest share of expenditures belongs to the “other” sector.
According to the chart, the USA uses approximately two thirds (67%) of its water for Agriculture,followed by Households and public supply water consumption at 9% and 8% respectively. The remaining percentage is sharing between Electricity and gas, mining, industry and “other” category, all of this segments is not higher than 7%
On the contrary, in Mexico and Canada the largest water expenditures is in Electricity and gas, accounting for 45% and 58% for each. In Mexico, agriculture represents as the second highest share (32%), while in Canada it ranks only third (8%) ,coming after industry water demand at 18%. The lowest consumption for both is in “other”category calibrated between 1-2%.
