This pie charts illustrate how popularity of 4 different tourist attractions changed in the United Kingdom from 1981 to 1999. It is evident to see some extreme changes in a way how often people visited some of the tourist attractions.
On the first pie chart of 1981 we can see some interesting information about wildlife park and zoos – only 4% of visitors chose to visit those park whether in 1999 we notice a dramatic increase to 9% of visitors. That leads to a conclusion of two facts, first people became more interested in different exotic creatures and wildlife and second there are more opportunities for zoos to buy new animals and provide them with a good life conditions.
However the most extreme change, which is pretty obvious, is the percentage of museums and gallery. Only 38% of visitors in 1999 were interested in those attractions compared to 48% in 1981. It shows us that people became much less interested in more intelligent and academic attractions. With that we can also notice how amusement parks became more popular in a spent of 18 years, people got more opportunities to built some breathtaking attractions so more people would visit their parks.
Seeing this result we also need to mention that overall the amount of visitors increased by 12 million visitors, so some of the attractions became more popular because of the number of people that visited them
