The given charts reveal information about the amount of the types of electricity produced and how many percentage of sources of renewable energy in France and Germany in 2009.
Overall, the largest proportion of energy-producing types is conventional thermal, and also the main source of renewable energy is biomass in Germany. Moreover, nuclear energy is the main part of the electricity, so the biggest portion of renewable energy is hydroelectric in France.
Moving to a detailed analysis,560 billion kWh of energy was produced in Germany and conventional thermal type forms just under the third-fifth. Nuclear energy-producing followed the conventional thermal type and this was much lower than it by 36.6%. Renewable energy ranked last and the share of it is 17.4%. In addition, 39.3% of renewable energy was biomass. Additionally, wind turbines gave 36.9% of the whole renewable energy, also energy which was gained from wind was followed by hydroelectric and 17.7% was responsible for it. At least the main source of renewable energy was solar energy which formed 6.1% and geothermal did not give any energy.
The other charts illustrate the electricity generation which was generated in France in 2009. 510 billion kWh of electricity was produced there. Nuclear type of energy formed the main part of all types(76%). 13.7% and 10.3% accounted for renewable and conventional thermal sources respectively. Moreover, 80.5% of renewable energy was responsible for hydroelectric. In addition, wind turbines and biomass gave 10.5% and 8.1% of renewable energy in France and also solar and geothermal sources formed just under 1% and zero in turn.
