Overall, the reasons for immigration and emigration in the UK are particularly: to study formally, to join or accompany, to look for work, and others, while some have no reason. Notably, the majority of individuals went and left for certain employment.
Looking closely, people mainly migrate for their particular job (30%), followed by formal study (26%), to accompany (15%), looking for work (12%), and other reasons(11%). The fewest people(6%) went to the UK without a reason in 2007. For emigration, individuals left the country for their job, finding work, accompaniment, no reason, other reason, and formal study at 29%, 22%, 18%, 14%,13%, and 4% respectively.
Furthermore, almost one-third of the immigrants are for a definite job, and over a quarter are for study abroad. On the other hand, a minority of people migrate for their studies in the UK. Moreover, almost a quarter are employees, and over one-fifth are searching for work.
