The pie charts illustrate the proportion of internet-based purchaces for retail marketplace in 2010 and 2015, categorized by people needs.
Overall, a clear and significant shift occurred in the all consumer goods over the half decade period.The purchasing of technical items, which accounting for the largest portion,food and beverages, gift items and books, by online have registered steep expansion, at the expanse of the sale of home furnitures, video games.
Firstly, if we look at the most dramatic increase, occurring at the highest portion whose was the sale of electric & appliances by online in 2010, it accounted for 27 %, before rocketing to 33 % by 2015. Followed by this category, the level of food & beverage sale made up the most next largest share with 21 % in the former year. Fifteen years later, there has been a little change by 1 % of increase. Notably, the marketing of gift items went up gradually by 4%, resulting in 11 % by 2015. The rate of books sale, which making up the least share at 4 % , observed a considerable rise to 7 %.
Secondly,in contrast, with respect of the rates of people needs trading, which have registered declines over the period, the sale of home furnitures reduced significantly from 22 % to 19%, resulting in the third position of entire marketing. The sector that have experienced the greatest decline over 15 years was video games sales. This group had fell by more than half of its initial percentage, from 19 % to 8%.
