The pie charts detail information, in percentage, about the planet’s forest and timber in five different continents.
Looking from an overall perspective, it is readily apparent that a large number of the world forest is in Africa while the least figure is in Asia. In terms of timber, North America is the main contributor while the last is Africa.
Looking first of all at the Earth’s forest, Africa constitutes a huge quantity with 27%. It is then followed moderately higher by North America with 25%. In addition, Europe, South America and Asia belonged to the same bracket with 18%, 16% and 14%, respectively.
In contrast, majority of timber can be seen in the region of North America with 30%. It is then followed by South America with 23% and Europe with drastically lower at 20%. Lastly, marginally lower are Asia and Africa with the former with 18% and the latter with 9%.
