The given maps represent what Porth Harbour was like in 2000 and how it looks now.
Overall, it can be seen that while the main buildings and amenities remained unchanged, the harbour in general became more infrastructurally and touristically developed. One of the most striking changes in the south of the harbour was the renovation of an old castle into a hotel and the construction of touristic facilities related to it, whereas in the north of the harbour the expansion of marine infrastructure took place.
In 2000, as well as in the current year, there was a public beach in the north of the harbour. There was only one dock with departing passenger ferries next to it in the past, while today there is another dock to the left of it. The marina with private yachts and the fishing boats site swapped their locations and another building with showers and toilets has been built to the west of the harbour.
The abandoned castle in the south of the harbour was turned into a hotel, which led to the fact that a former public beach became private. The lifeboat station in the center of the harbour remained unchanged and some buildings with cafes and shops were constructed to the left of it.
